To qualify for entry into the Main Section of the Flock Book Register a pure-bred breeding sheep must:
Be descended from parents and grandparents entered into the Flock Book of the same breed and colour (for at least three generations)
Be identified after birth according to the rules of the Flock Book (link to Flock Book to follow)
Have a pedigree established in accordance with the rules of the Flock Book
To quality for entry into the Register A Section of the Flock Book Register a pure-bred breeding sheep must:
Be descended from parents and grandparents entered in the Flock Book of the same breed (for at least 3 generations)
Be identified after birth according to the rules of the Flock Book
Have a pedigree established in accordance with the rules of the Flock Book
To qualify for entry into the Register Section B of the Flock Book Register a pure-bred breeding sheep must:
Be descended from parents and/or grandparents entered in the Flock Book of the same breed
Be identified after birth according to the rules of the Flock Book
Have a pedigree established in accordance with the rules of the Flock Book
Progeny of unregistered parents can be entered into Register B of the Flock Book, upon inspection of the animal, and its parents, following which all animals must be agreed by the Officers of the Society as meeting the breed standard
